Come out to the 1st Annual Lethbridge Twestival Local 2011 and help support the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta.

All donations and contributions to the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta are welcome and can be done through http://www.canadahelps.org/gp/11509

We will be at Average Joe's on March 24th, Thursday night from 6pm to about 9pm-ish. Join us for some drinks, meet great people, and have a grand ol' time!

Admission is by Donation (suggested $5)

We will be having raffle draws throughout the evening. Prizes include restaurant gift certficates, Blu-Ray Disc player and more!

We are excited to announce that LethTwestival Local 2011 will be supporting the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta! They provide services to children and their families as a Family Resource Centre.

They are a community-based organization who work with children, families and caregivers to enhance identified strengths, to build capacities and to promote healthy development.

They provide a comprehensive range of prevention and early intervention services to children, youth and families as well as offering early learning through play programs.

Be sure to visit their website to learn more about the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta. Spread the word and don't forget to mark your calendars for 6pm to 9pm-ish on March 24th at Average Joe's (420 6th Ave South).

Hello friends,

We wanted to let you know that our Charity Committee has selected a local Lethbridge Charity to be supported by March 24th LethTwestival. The committee has submitted their decision to Twestival Global HQ for final approval and will make the announcement publicly as soon as we hear back.

The chosen charity will also be notified of the selection.

Thank you for all of the submissions. There are many deserving local charities, however only one could be selected. We appreciate your support, understanding and involvement in this year's LethTwestival.

We will be making more announcements (such as the location and further event details) closer to the date. It will be a local venue and is guaranteed to take place during the evening of March 24th, 2011 - so mark your calendars and spread the word! The more support and attendees, the better! It's all for a good cause.

Every year around the world communities come together to support a local non-profit charity organization. Now is your opportunity to nominate a local Lethbridge charity to receive 100% of the funds raised during Lethbridge Twestival Local 2011 taking place globally (and locally) on March 24th, 2011. 

How It Works - Read Before Nominating!

While this is an open nomination process, the final recipient of the funds will be chosen by concensus of the organizing team - a charity who directly impacts the local community and who's vision aligns with that of Twestival will be chosen. 

The LethTwestival team must then submit their choice to Twestival Global for final approval who ensures the chosen charity meets the standards of Twestival. Twestival does not align with causes which are overtly political, religious or lack transparency in showing the impact of donations.

Please remember, the charity must be LOCAL - which means not only must it be located within the City of Lethbridge, but the funds must be used in a way that directly impacts the community of Lethbridge. Only local non-profit organizations are eligible for Twestival.

Lastly, when filling out the form, please specify how the funds will be used. This is important not only for Twestival, but to also enable us to better market and fundraise in partnership with the chosen charity.
